On Saturday 22nd July 2000 I went to a private family function at the Woodmancote Village Hall where the MANHATTAN FIVE (who used to be called TAKE FIVE) were providing the main musical entertainment.
The band performed a variety of tunes which included "Pennies from Heaven", "My Girl", "Keep on Running", "Just the Way You Are", "Paper Moon", "Girl from Ipanema", "Our Love is Here to Stay", "Jeepers Creepers", "Caldonia", an excellent version of a track made famous by THE STRAY CATS which really got people on to the dance floor (including myself), and finally "Manhattan" which they use as their signature tune.
As you can see the band now performs more mainstream tunes, instead of just Jazz Tunes.

During the evening there was also some other entertainment provided by other guests at the party which included "The Greatest Love Of All", and an excellent version on the Clarinet of "The Circle Of Life" which made me think of my trip to Disney, Florida.
Needless to say a great night was had by all.
